St Stephen was the first Christian martyr - he was stoned to death shortly after Christ's crucifixion.

Founded in Anglo-Saxon times, this building has been variously remodelled throughout the centuries.

A Communion service is held at 10.30am on the first and third and fifth Sundays of every month.

On second and fourth Sundays of each month, there is Meeting Point. This is a form of morning prayer, usually lay-led, and often including time for discussion and/or quiet reflection.

The church is usually open on weekdays and is extensively used by charities and other churches for fund-raising activities and concerts.
